Participate in a fun afternoon learning the art of basket weaving while enjoying a glass of wine. Baskets make great gifts or serve as stylish decor in your home. This workshop will walk you through the materials needed and techniques required to make your very own decor basket. The workshop will take two to three hours and includes all supplies to make one 6″ to 10” diameter basket.

This workshop includes complimentary wine and snacks.

All workshops take place at our new Victoria Park location, EcoHubYYC. The address is 1325 1 Street SE (south bound Macleod Trail) Calgary. Parking is available in the lot right in front of the shop.

On November 14, head to PARM for a fun, tasty and educational evening, where a maximum of 20 people each evening will become Pizza experts under the guiding hand of Chef Barry Flett.

We’ll start with a welcome drink followed by a selection of PARM’s delicious appetizers with wine, then learn what makes a superior crust and toppings for your pizza, looking at the dough, the quality of ingredients, San Marzano tomatoes and more.

And then we’ll make our own pizzas with your choice of sauce and toppings, and cook them in the B.C. applewood burning forno at 1,000°F for just a few minutes before enjoying our work along with salads and more wine, all followed by dessert and our final wine!

These bi-annual experiments are casual, less-adorned, raw productions that give our company dancers an opportunity to try their hand at creating movement. A great way to get to know another side of our dancers.

Save the date! You are cordially invited to Stride Gallery’s annual auction fundraiserLet Us, on Saturday, November 18 @8PM.

This year's roster features fantastic artworks generously donated from local and national, emerging and established artists. The night comprises of live and silent auctions, so prepare for bidding wars both loud and quiet. The winning bid of the artwork will be split 50:50 between the artist and the gallery. 

As one of the most important fundraisers for Stride Gallery, the proceeds from this event will support our programming and operations. Our goal is to pay better artists' and professional fees, support local grassroots projects and host new community engagement projects in the upcoming year. Come celebrate with us. The night will be accompanied with some wine, signature cocktail (possibly warm), small delectables, and lots of great artworks.

On November 23, 2017, join us for the Victoria Park BIA Annual General Ratepayers Meeting at Hotel Arts. During this meeting, the 2018 Board of Directors will be elected and the 2018 budget will be reviewed. 

The meeting is open to all members of the Victoria Park BIA. Membership to the BIA is automatic for businesses falling within the BIA boundaries.
